Well hey there, My name is jane! I’m an artist living in Asheville, NC. I live with my partner, our dog, and an eldritch beast that disguises itself as a cat. I love bad food, bad movies, and bad art!
i started making odd dolls when i was in middle school, dismantling thrifted plushies and sewing mixed body parts together. since then, I’ve taken up collage, special effects makeup, prop making, miniatures, and sculpting. mixed them all together and ta da! you get possum hands! these skills combined during the 2020 quarantine when i was left with nothing to do, a lot of mixed boxes of craft supplies, and a big basket of old plushies from the thrift store. I found that pre-made plushies take very well to modification (and mutilation!). i made my first batch of plushies and that was it! I moved on to using real animal skulls and teeth in my projects, and starting my own dang art business!
making these critters is a source of joy in my life! I am so thrilled to have something strange and silly to share with the world! I’m not great at these ‘about me’ things, so just browse my gallery! it’s pretty much a road map to my brain <3
